Thank you for downloading this aircraft.

Model, Textures and Flight dynamics By David Friswell.

Wheels & Spoiler textures by Garry J Smith (See link to Garry's website for more Macchi 326H Textures at the bottom of this page).

Panel & sounds aliased to the FS2004 Learjet 45.

Short History:
87 Aermacchi 326H's were ordered for the RAAF and 10 for the RAN. The first 20 aircraft were assembled in Australia using Aermacchi Componants, and the remainder locally built from a high content of Australian components, by the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC). The first Macchi flew in Australia in April 1967 and served the RAAF with distinction until the year 2000 when they were phased out of service to make way for the BAe Hawk Mk 127.

THE MODEL:
The model has been designed using FSDS v2.24 (by ABACUS) and thus, the model is fully compatible with FS2004.
The model features full animation, reflective textures and as accurate as I can get, flight dynamics fully tuned & optimised for FS2004/FS9.

At the time of writing, I have NOT completed a DVC (virtual cockpit) for this model, this will occur at a later date & is simply due to time constraints of the author. A DVC will be done for this model when I can get the time to make an accurate panel etc at my own convenience.

The flight dynamics for this model have been created with the 1% airfile spreadsheets, v2.82.104 as the basis & modified to suit FS2004/FS9 A Century of Flight. The model does conform to the specifications listed below, but note that I have not tested the Maximum range. Also worth noting is that the all up weight of this FS model is for 2 crew & full internal fuel. Thus, it is a lot lighter than the maximum certified weight, of which takes into account of external stores.

REPAINTING THIS MODEL:
Please respect & obey the notes as outlined in the file included in this archive: "A NOTE FOR REPAINTERS.TXT". This file outlines the basic "repaint policy" for this model, please follow the guidelines as set out there.

If you whish to repackage this model, you NEED PERMISSION. If you repackage & post the repack on a website without my permission, I will demand that it be removed until such time that my permission is granted. I DO CHECK.

IF you whish to make an airfile/aircraft.cfg for another MB326 variant, you may do so as long as the above (pt 2) is noted or it may be released as a SEPARATE FILE REQUIRING this original package to be downloaded 1st. In saying this a simple edit of the engine parameters & posting of such modifications are not allowed. All such modifications must be your own work & NOT TO USE my FDE as a basis without permission. This means that if you whish to convert the FDE in this package to be a GB or a K (i.e. MB326GB or MB326K etc) & whish to post such modifications on the internet --> ASK. Alternatively, if you start from scratch & the FDE is entirely your own work by all means please post it on the internet (please send me a copy too) as a separate file as a replacement FDE for this model. If your not sure as to what I am on about here --> ASK!!!!!!! :)

INSTALLATION:

To install the MB326H in FS2004 I recommend you do the following:

1. Extract the contents of this archive to a Temporary folder (for e.g. C:\Temp\).

2. You will then see in the C:\Temp\Aermacchi MB326H\ folder : a Model, Panel, Sound and Texture folders along with the Airfile, and this file you’re now reading.

3. Copy the “Aermacchi MB326H” folder to the AIRCRAFT folder of FS2004, start the game and go flying.

4. Alternatively, you can extract this archive straight into the FS9\AIRCRAFT folder.

5. To select this aircraft, you will see it under the Manufacturer’s name of “Aermacchi” in the Select Aircraft Menu of FS2004.

6. The sounds for this aircraft are aliased to the Lear 45. Please feel free to find and install any separate sound package for this aircraft if you so desire.

7. The Panel for this aircraft are aliased to the Lear 45 Please feel free to find and install any separate sound package for this aircraft if you so desire.

KNOWN ISSUES AND BUGS:
There are known “issues” with this model, these are explained as best I can:

There are differences between the real MB326H Flight Characteristics and this model.

A small area near the tail where the fuselage textures wrap around to the top cause some stretching of the textures.
CREDITS:

First & Foremost to Garry J Smith for the Wheel & spoiler textures, but mostly for his generosity of adding all the panel lines to my very basic texturing skills!!!! Garry has kindly done some REALLY good repaints for this model and are available at Garry's website --> See link at the bottom of this document.
Pilot Model by: Mikko Maliniemi.

David Brice from DSB design for allowing me to use the pilot textures for this release - please checkout the link to DSB Design at the bottom of this document (The DSB Eurofighter is one highly recommended aircraft to have in your hangar).
